“Dewatering Specialists were contacted to install a wellpoint dewatering system during the construction of a basement car park for an apartment complex in Mairangi Bay.
The system was maintained by Dewatering Specialists to ensure optimum performance and a reinjection and monitoring program was established to control drawdown levels. The water level was lowered by 2m and operated continuously for 24 hours a day from August through October 2003 with no distruptions to our building program. The discharge water was pumped through a filter system to ensure no sand entered the storm water system.
Dewatering Specialists were able to respond immediately and to offer technical and practical advise concerning the system to facilitate the smooth efficient operation of the construction process.
I would recommend Dewatering Specialists for any future projects requiring wellpoint dewatering. Their team was competent and professional in the manner in which they assisted me. Lawrence Schischka, the Manager of Dewatering Specialists, was most helpful at all times. John Doyle, a Director of the Company, was available to make suggestions and recommendations that ensured the dewatering program was to keep on track and the excavation dry.
Our Company received a refund from Dewatering Specialists at the end of the contract. This has not happened very often, if ever.”
